Zachary R. Miculka

Zachary Ray Miculka, age 27, a lifelong resident of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023 following a brief illness. Zach was a graduate of Hilliard Davidson High School, Class of 2014 and of The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Earth Science with a minor in Geography (2019). Zach also received a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Columbus State Community College (2021).

Zach was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon Ray and Patsy Ruth Miculka, and Carl Webster and Betty Jane Valentine, as well as his aunt, Sherry Valentine Monnier.

Zach was one of the most kind and caring individuals one could hope to meet. He especially loved preparing for holidays throughout the year by decorating and cooking for each occasion and celebrating with family and friends. He was passionate about all things Lego, especially Star Wars sets. He enjoyed hanging out with friends in his online gaming community and was a Kingdom Hearts master.  Zach loved astronomy and spent many evenings observing the moon and planets through his telescope.  Zach loved watching movies, with “Titanic” being one of his favorites. His job at Dublin AMC Theatre gave him the opportunity to see many new releases and he was especially pleased to share that with family and friends.

Zach is survived by his parents, Lawrence and Debra Miculka; siblings, Matthew Miculka and Kristin (Nate) Kinkopf; his beloved cat, Tinkerbell; uncle, Philip Miculka; aunts, Kaye Vordemark and Sally Yeager.

Love and gratitude to his best friend Emily and her family, and to Dr. Emilio Amigo for his life-long support. Heartfelt thanks to the Norwich Township Fire and EMS, and to the compassionate staff at Riverside Hospital ICU for their amazing care. Zach will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

Family will welcome friends from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. TUESDAY, AUGUST 29, 2023 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722.  Private Funeral Service will be held for the family and Zach will be laid to rest at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Hilliard, Ohio.
