Vivian Shrum Penson

Vivian Shrum Penson, 88, went home to be with Jesus on January 25, 2023. Born Vivian Ann Johnston on July 10, 1934 in Marysville, OH to parents Lawrence A. and Rosanna Mae (Barnes) Johnston. Her siblings were Lawrence, Mary, Irene, Esther and John. She married Edgar S. Shrum, Sr. in 1965 and Edgar died in 1992. She married Ralph Penson in 2013 and he survives. She was a longtime resident of Hilliard, OH but lived in Corning, OH when she died.

She is survived by her stepdaughter Betty (Steve) Gibson; her son Edgar Shrum Jr.; and stepson Sean (Stephanie) Penson. Also survived by grandchildren Steven (Thea) Gibson; Angela (Tony) Wright; Kyle Penson; Edgar Shrum III; Logan Shrum; Dmitri Shrum; and Steshka Shrum. Five great grandchildren include Jessica (Dustin) Thacker; Antonio (Winnie) Jester; Austin Jester; Xander and Zia Gibson. Vivian had four great great grandchildren Cooper and Brennon Thacker; Star and Lila Jester and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She loved the Lord. Her hobbies included crafts and gardening and for many years she enjoyed entering in various categories in the Franklin County Fair and won numerous ribbons. Arrangements were handled by Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH where a service was held January 30, 2023 and interment with graveside service took place at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Pastor Phil Conrad officiated.
