Valerie Gorby

VALERIE JEAN (HITT) GORBY, formerly of Steubenville, residing in Galloway, Ohio went to be with our Lord on Saturday, June 11, 2022. She fought a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Valerie was born January 10, 1961, in Steubenville, daughter of the late A. Eugene (Dove) Hitt and Wanda (Robert) Clevenger.

 

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her brother, Mark Hitt, and her sister Candy Hitt.

 

She is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Adam Gorby, her son Brandon (Amy) Webb, her grandchildren Mackenzie Webb and Brandon Webb ll. Her sisters, Cindi (Richard) Haught, Kelley (Johnny) Allison, Tracie Secrist, Linda Crislip and sister-in-law Mickey Hitt.

Valerie has been employed by Ohio Gastroenterology Group since 2008. She was a member and guided in her faith at Guide Church. She lived for her family and the Lord. She was passionate about the patients she cared for over the years with Dr. Arlin.

 

In keeping with Valerie’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. There will be Celebration of Life services at Guide Church, 75 Hilliard Road, Columbus, OH on Saturday, June 18, at 10:30 am and at Bell Chapel UMC, Steubenville, OH on June 26, at 12:30 pm. 

 

She touched everyone she met with a kind, loving, forgiving spirit.
