Tylina Powell

d. October 1, 2021

Tylina Marie Powell (Potter), passed peacefully before the sunrise on Friday, October 1st, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Houston, Texas on February 22nd 1970, she is the first child of Donald Potter and Nadine Rogers. Raised in Whitehall, Ohio, Tylina graduated from Whitehall Yearling High School in 1988 and immediately entered the workforce, working in jobs that ranged from a disk jockey at the local bowling alley to selling cars with the best of the best, before finding her passion as a debt collector, a position she held for the better part of three decades. Her strong work ethic and dedication to excellence were traits she proudly passed on to her children, nieces, and nephews.

Perhaps Tylina’s greatest role came later in her life: the role of Mimi to her first and only grandson, Gunnar James.

A self-described world traveler and adventurist, Tylina made exploring our beautiful world a top priority during her life, and was fortunate to explore many countries on several continents. She loved nothing more than bringing home art and trinkets from her travels to proudly display in her home, and post photos of her travels online so that everyone could share in her joy.

Tylina is preceded in death by her father, Donald Potter; brother Donald Potter Jr.

Tylina is survived by her husband of 19 years, Robert Powell; daughter Drucilla (Justin ‘D’) Harrison; son Jeremy Harrison; step children Benjamin (Todd) Powell and Robert Oshel Powell; Mother; Nadine Rogers (Morris)

We believe a life so beautifully lived should also be beautifully remembered. Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 1-3 pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will follow at 3 pm.
