Tommy Whaley, 85, of Galloway, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Saturday, May 25, 2024.
He was born January 24, 1939, in Del Barton, West Virginia, to Virgil & Lucy (Kirk) Whaley. His family moved to West Jefferson, Ohio, and that is where he met and then married the love of his life Beverly (Collins) Whaley.
They spent the majority of their life together in the West Jefferson area where they raised their 4 boys. Tom was a mechanic by trade and spent time tinkering in his garage. He also coached a few of his boy's little league teams and enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling, listening to country music, Spending summers at Jamboree-In-the-hills, and sitting on the porch swing. He was also a member of the VFW Post 7005 Auxillary.
Tommy is survived by 2 sons, Bruce (Teresa), and Jim (Michelle), his grandchildren Nikki, Adam (Angel), James Mitchell, and Zach, great-grandchildren Sarah, Evan, Skylar, Bri, Lucas, Gracie, and Scarlet, several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Beverly, sons Donald, and Doug, grandson Shane, great-granddaughter Emalee, brothers and sisters Tony, Lilly, Bill, Sarah, Jenny, Delorse, and Gene.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 29, 2024, 11:00am - 12:30pm with the Funeral Service Starting at 12:30pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5256 NORWICH STREET, HILLIARD, OHIO, 43026. Interment will immediately follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, West Jefferson, Ohio.
