Thomas R. Wycuff, age 68, of Riverview, Florida, previously of London, Ohio, went to his heavenly home while in Tidewell hospice in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, in the early morning of March 1, 2021. Thomas, known as Tom to his friends and family, was born March 18,1952 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio to late Robert and Mary (Cotterman) Wycuff. Tom was a graduate of West High School in Columbus, Ohio, Class of 1970. He also attended Columbus State Community College and received a degree in Aviation. Tom worked for 36 years at General Motors in sheet metal maintenance, and retired in 2007, and moved to Florida, where he enjoyed the sun and beaches. Thomas was a lifelong member, and usher at World Harvest Church, he graduated from their bible college in 1995, when he moved to Florida, he joined Victorious living church. He was still involved to the day of his illness with World Harvest Church and always will consider them his “church home”. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his brother in law, Jeff Balsom, and his very very best friend in the whole world Cara Giebner, his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his daughter Lora, his son Ryan, his grandsons who were the apple of his eye Ian Greenfield and Devin Greenfield, sister Roberta Balsom, nephews Paul Balsom, Alex Balson, niece Susan (Ben) Borland and many friends he has met along the way, including but not limited to his good friends in Florida Cathy, Lennie and Peter, the management of Kingwoods Homes. Special thanks to the staff at the Tidewell Hospice in Lakewood Ranch, FL, for the excellent care and dignity that they showed my father and myself through this difficult time, and to the nurses and the CNA’s who filled the void for my father, while I was so far away. Family would like to invite you to celebrate his life and homegoing on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 @ 10:30 and the funeral will follow the visitation at 11:00am, a World Harvest Pastor will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, in Columbus Ohio.
