Terry Lee Hemsworth

Terry Lee Hemsworth, age 72, of Columbus, passed away November 6, 2025 after a 7+ year battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Graduated from Lancaster High School Class of 1971 and Ohio University Class of 1978. Terry retired from American Electric Power with 36 years of service. He enjoyed serving with the Boy Scout Troop #148 as an assistant Scout Master for many years. He was an avid hiker, enjoyed backpacking and traveling with family. He was a member of Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church in Hilliard, Ohio. 

Preceded in death by parents Ralph and Jean Hemsworth, sister Debbie Cutright, brothers Steve and Mark Hemsworth. 

Survived by loving wife Jan of 47 years, sons Adam (Capri) Hemsworth and Brian (Ophelia) Hemsworth, brother Scott (Cheryl) Hemsworth, grandchildren Alex, Aaron, Andrew, Toby and Levi, and many relatives and friends. 

Calling hours will be held at SCIOTO RIDGE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, at 4343 Dublin Rd in Hilliard from 4 - 7 PM on SUNDAY, November 16th, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at Scioto Ridge UNITED METHODIST CHURCH on MONDAY, November 17th, 2025, at 10:30AM, with luncheon to follow.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Parks Service (Give.NationalParks.org), Scouting America (Donations.Scouting.org), or Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church (SRUMC.org).
