Suzanne Reichert, age 77, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away surrounded by love. Born and raised in the Cleveland area, Suzanne spent many cherished years in Madison, Ohio, before making Columbus her home. Wherever life took her, she brought warmth, kindness, and an open heart.
Suzanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her life. She shared a beautiful and enduring love with her late husband, Harold Reichert Jr., whom she met while dancing at the Agora in Cleveland—a moment that shaped the rest of her life. Suzanne found her greatest joy in her daughter, Jennifer Bickley, her grandchildren, Emily Bickley and Greg Bickley, and her great-grandson, Maxwell Dauson, who brought immense light to her later years.
Suzanne never met a stranger. She had a gift for conversation, and she was always ready with a laugh, a smile, or a gentle story that made others feel seen and at ease. She was a devoted friend and her kindness was effortless and constant.
Her Catholic faith was another pillar of her life. Suzanne was an active parishioner of St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church, teaching religion classes, serving as a Eucharistic Minister, and finding peace and purpose in praying the rosary. Her faith guided her with quiet strength and sustained her through all of life’s seasons.
Suzanne loved to dance and sing, carrying a joyful spirit that touched everyone around her. Her compassion, her warmth, and the love she gave so freely will be deeply missed by her family and by the many whose lives she brightened.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents Robert E. and Alice R. Gaebelein, sister Claudia J. Wolf, brothers David T. and Paul E. Gaebelein, and her beloved husband Harold H. Reichert, Jr. Suzanne is survived by her daughter Jennifer Bickley, her grandchildren Emily Bickley and Greg Bickley, her great-grandson Maxwell Dauson, sister Nancy E. Suchy, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
