Sue Mary Devore

Sue Mary Devore, age 94, of Hilliard, Ohio, peacefully passed away on September 23, 2026. Member of St. Brendan The Navigator Catholic Church. Graduated Upper Arlington High School Class of 1949, and graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in education. Sue taught kindergarten for many years. She was an avid painter especially painting portraits of her 14 dogs. Sue, also enjoyed traveling and gardening. Sue was a breast cancer survivor and was involved with Reach for Recovery. She volunteered at Kobacker House and she was instrumental in originating their emotional support dog Libby. A portrait painted by Sue of Libby still hangs at the Kobacker House. She graduated in the first class of Hilliard’s Citizens Police Academy.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years Tom, parents Otis and Josephine Skinner.

Sue is survived by her sons: Paul (Michelle) Devore, John (Amy Slagle) Devore, Joe Devore, and Peter Devore; grandchildren: Jason (Jena) Devore, Jessica (Jared) Schrock, Andrew Devore, Matthew (Kelsey) Devore, Patrick Devore, Morgan (Joe) Button, Samantha (Blaise) Long, and Steven Devore; 15 great-grandchildren, and many loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on TUESDAY, September 29, 2026, from 4-6 PM, at TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026. Mass of Christian Burial, WEDNESDAY, September 30, 2026, at 10:30 AM, at the St. Brendan The Navigator Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026.

In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to: St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. Brendan.
