Sharron Clark-Smiley

Sharron Clark-Smiley, age 70, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025. She was born on December 9, 1954, to the late Talt Smiley and Sarah Parsons Smiley.

SHARON CLARK SMILEY went by her nicknames Smiley or Smiles which is so fitting as she always had a smile on her face. She had a great sense of humor and was very witty. Sharron was a very generous person. She dedicated her life and career taking care of children at Nationwide Children's Hospital as a nurse for over forty years. She often worked holidays and extra hours for her co-workers so they could be with their families. She frequently gave out gifts for no special reason. She was especially generous with her favorite: Cheryl's Cookies!

Sharron loved her husband, stepchildren, grandchildren, in-laws, nieces and nephews. Most of all she loved every pet she ever had. She even had "baby books" for some of her favorites, with details of their birth dates and pictures from puppy to full grown. Her newest puppy, Laney is a white lab. She has had a black, a few yellow, and a brown lab as well as a few mutts!

Sharron was a talented woman who played softball, excelled at tennis and loved shopping, decorating, talking on the phone and flower gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Talt (Ted) Smiley and Sarah Parsons Smiley, stepmother, Dottie Smiley and her brother, Michael Smiley.

Sharron is survived by her beloved husband, Charles "Jeff" Clark, her stepchildren, Michael (Rochelle) Clark of California and Matt (Kelley) Clark of Hilliard, Ohio, siblings, Mark Smiley of Naples, Florida, Tim Smiley of Sun City, Florida, and sister-in-law, Julia (Judy) Smiley, grandchildren, Madison, Mikey, and Makayla Clark of Hilliard, Ohio, and Hudson and Brolin Clark of California, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sharron was a great neighbor and loyal friend who will be greatly missed, please help celebrate her life with a cookie with her family.

The family invites you to come visit and celebrate Sharron's life on Sunday, June 8th at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026. The visitation will take place from 1:00PM to 3:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, Sharron's family asks that you direct your donations to the Children's Hospital Foundation.
