Ruby E. Butt

Ruby E. Butt, age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026. Born June 16, 1933, to the late Robert and Rebecca Chawner.

She is preceded in death by her Husband Harold and siblings, Robert Jr. (Luce), Jack (Anne), Joseph (Iris) and Helen (Jerry) Baum.

Ruby is survived by her children, Michael Butler, Doug (Kim) Butt and Beckie (Fred) Woda, grandchildren Timothy (Melissa) Butt, Sean (Lisa) Butt, Kaycee Butt, Kori (Seth) Leidinger, Megan (David) Jordan, Zach (Erica) Butler and Lauren Butler, great grandchildren, Christian, Caleb, Kendall Butt, Jack and Cooper Leidinger, and Charlotte Jordan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Ruby was born in Hilliard and graduated from Hilliard High School in 1952. A lifelong resident who never met a stranger. She probably sat in a lawn chair at every ball field in central Ohio. She was always on the go visiting friends or taking them to the store or church. She was a member of the Hilliard Church of Christ, baptized in 2009. She was employed by Schneider Link and Company. She was a member of all her kid’s PTOs when they were in school as well as a member of Hilliard Senior Center and on the Hall of Fame selection committee. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.

Ruby's family invites you to a visitation and funeral service on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026.  The visitation will start at 10:00AM and end at 12:00PM for the funeral service to follow immediately after at 12:00PM. We will then go in procession to Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
