Roger Dale Spires

Roger Dale Spires August 4, 1949 – September 18, 2025 Roger Dale Spires, 76, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Roger will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for those closest to him.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Myrtle Dale Spires, and his siblings Bernie, Katherine, Helen, Bobby, and Kermit.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Jeannie; children, Brenda and Roger Jr.(Amy); grandson, Bret(Kelly); great-grandson, Cooper; and siblings, Leah, Ruth, and Virgil (Nina).

Roger proudly dedicated over 20 years of service to Hilliard City Schools, where he was respected and cherished by colleagues and students alike. Beyond his work, he was a passionate sports fan, cheering faithfully for the Cleveland Browns and Michigan Football.

Roger’s legacy of love and devotion to family will carry on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation and funeral service will be held in Roger's honor at the Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.  The visitation will begin at 10:00AM and end at 11:00AM for the funeral service to take place immediately following at 11:00AM.  We will then go in procession to Union Cemetery for burial.
