Robert Cox

Robert Eugene Cox “Bob”, 81, long-term resident of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2022 in his home.

Originally from Indiana, Bob graduated from Purdue University in 1963 with a master’s degree in Agricultural Education.  He dedicated over 30 years of his life to working with the community as an Agricultural and Natural Resources Educator, as well as 4-H Educator in Fulton County, Indiana, Mahoning County, Ohio, Lake County, Ohio and Franklin County, Ohio. 

Bob lived a fulfilling life as a husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time working in his many flower beds; planting, weeding, pruning and taking care of the lawn. Additionally, Bob delighted in playing video games and was a roller coaster enthusiast.

He is survived by his husband of 7 years Scot Ramey, his two daughters Kelley Anne Fisher and Ellen Marie Guay, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  Bob is also survived by several siblings, nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Clara Pattee Cox, and his wife of 31 years Glenda Yelton Cox.

Family will receive friends Friday, January 14, 2022 from 2-3 pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will follow at 3 pm. A graveside service will be held 12 pm Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Coatesville Cemetery, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889, Dallas, TX 75380.
