Rev. Willie Johnson, Jr.

Rev. Willie R. Johnson, Jr. age 67 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. He is preceded in death by parents Virgie and John McCoart, mother and father-in-law Willie and Garnet Tackett, and sister Madge (Junior) Mullins. He is survived by wife of 48 years Jo Ann and children Angie of Hilliard, Phyllis of Grove City, and Sam (Gina) of Hilliard, grandchildren Christopher, Cassandra, Kayla, and Karleigh, brother MacArthur (Linda) McCoart of Inez, KY, sister Charlotte (Estill) Johnson of Port Huron, MI and many brother-in-laws and nieces and nephews. Willie was assistant Pastor at Springfork Enterprise Baptist Church in London, OH where he enjoyed preaching and teaching God’s word with all. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard. Funeral service will be held 11 am Monday at Springfork Enterprise Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Hicks officiating. Interment Forest Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
