Peggy Jo Swope (Schleich)

Peggy Jo Swope (Schleich), age 82, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away surrounded by those she loved, on Friday, March 22, 2024. She was born to the late Everett Canterbury and Virginia Esselburn on September 27, 1941, in St. Albans, West Virginia.
Peggy lived her life to the fullest. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by and spending time with family. She was an avid watcher of the Ohio State Buckeyes and enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles in her free time.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Everett Canterbury and Virginia Esselburn, brothers, John and Robert Canterbury, and her husbands, Donald Schleich and Douglas Swope.
Peggy is survived by her beloved children, John (Theresa) Schleich, Don (Carol) Schleich, Cathy (Rob) Rings, and Rick (Linda) Schleich, her sister and best friend, Patricia Bright, grandchildren, Megan (Nick) Morosco, Jason (Heather) Schleich, Cameron (Hillary) Schleich, Ally Schleich, Rachel Schleich, Sydney Rings, Austin Rings and Troy Schleich, her great-grandchildren, Harrison & Theodore Morosco and Jagger & Oliver Schleich as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude towards the Darby Glenn Rehab Center for their extended care.
Peggy's family will be holding a private graveside service at Wesley Chapel Cemetery on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 10:00am. A celebration of life will follow the graveside service, at Guild Athletic Club in Grandview at 12:00pm.
