Nancy J. Treece

Nancy J. Treece was born on October 10, 1949 in Findlay, Ohio.  She died March 20, 2024 in Columbus, Ohio from a massive stroke.  Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Louise and H.K. Treece, MD, nephew BJ (Lauren)Treece, DMD, and her life-long partner Gretchen Nicol.  She is survived by her brother Jon (Carol) Treece, of Bowling Green, Ohio, niece Tracy Treece, of Denver, Colorado, and three great-nieces in Kentucky.  Nancy received her BSN and MSN degrees from The College of Nursing, The Ohio State University.  She was a certified psychiatric clinical nurse specialist and provided consult liaison services at The James Cancer Hospital and Mount Carmel Hospital.  She practiced psychiatric nursing for over 40 years.  Nancy was active in professional nursing organizations and she never missed an opportunity to mentor and encourage new psychiatric nurses.

Nancy also served in the U.S. Army, Reserves, attaining the rank of Captain.  Her interests were loving Siamese cats, gardening, birding, traveling, listening to music, and being with friends.  Nancy thoroughly enjoyed her new friends she made at her retirement village and all of the new activities she was able to do with them.  She will be sadly missed by Angie, Bob, Kim, Judy, Rich, Scooter, Mary Lu, Karen and Bobbe.
