Nancy Moore

June 3, 1930 — May 30, 2024

Nancy was called to heaven on May 30, 2024 following a long illness with cerebrovascular dementia. She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence (Mike) and Eunice Bailey and her beloved husband Jack.

She is survived by son Dr Michael Moore, (Sherrie Sprott Moore), two grandchildren Ryan Moore (Kadie Moore) and Carleigh Moore Wrenn (Jonathan Wrenn) and two great grandchildren, Hannah and Felicity Moore.

Nancy had the good fortune to pursue her life’s passion teaching children dancing for nearly 60 years.
Starting immediately after graduating from Columbus West High School she began teaching tap and ballet dance through the Jack Sherick Dance Studios. She later branched out on her own and created the Hilliard School of Dance where she taught in addition to tap and ballet, jazz, acrobatics and baton twirling. Many former students remember well the annual dance recital held at the local high school. She was also the instructor for the Hilliard High School marching band majorettes. Her passion for teaching kept her young and active as evidenced by the fact that she did not retire until age 70.

With a passion for Ohio State football she and Jack attended many OSU games with their neighbors Bob and Dottie Baker. A favorite outing was the yearly trip with extended family members to an away OSU football game. Win or lose a good time was always had by all, although the drive home was much more
lighthearted if OSU posted a win! Annual vacations with her parents, Jack and Mike were always a treat as they explored nearly every state in the union.

A graveside service will be held Monday June 3rd at 2:30 at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 West Broad Street,
Galloway Ohio. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Jack and Nancy Moore Fund for Genetic Cancer Research at The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Center.
