Mozelle Mae Smith

September 4, 1940 -- April 19, 2020

Mrs. Mozelle (Moe) Mae Smith went Home to be with her Savior and Friend, Jesus. She was born in “The Forks of the Elkhorn” Kentucky and never forgot her roots. She lived a life of faith and fun, love and laughter. She married her sweetheart and committed to “In sickness and in health” and they lived well through both. He went on ahead and she held to her faith and waited. But today, the vow that they made is being celebrated as they dance at The Wedding Feast.

You see, Moe knows Jesus, and that’s forever. We will miss her laughter and smile, her fear of mice and the way she said Dad’s name when she saw one. But, know this, heaven’s choir has a new alto as they assemble to sing “Amazing Grace” for the King!

Those waiting for her in Heaven are her husband William (Willie) E. Smith, her parents, Claude and Katherine King, her sister Anna Sandahl, and her brothers George, Claude (Bunny) and Doug King.

She leaves behind her daughter Debbie VanOtteren and her sons Rusty and Doug Smith and their respective spouses, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, along with her brother Bobbie King, his wife, Vicki, sister-in-law Nancy, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In light of the current Covid-19 situation, the family will have a private viewing and graveside service and will plan a Celebration of Life service as soon as it is safe to gather again. In lieu of flowers, please share a story about Mom with our family and love Jesus the way she did. Please send your condolences to the Smith Family on this webpage. Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722, assisted the family.
