Melva Roach, age 88, passed away May 20, 2023. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Riverside Ward, where she served in many positions. Her proudest positions were Temple worker, and genealogy consultant. She was a teacher in the Columbus City School System, teaching at West High School. She was a temple worker for the Columbus, Ohio Temple for her church and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saint at the Family Services office. She enjoyed reading, traveling, nature, genealogy, and temple work She was preceded in death by her husband Stafford McDonald (Don) Roach, her parents Bois Melvin Smith and Winona Rorabough Smith, and her brother Joe Wesley Smith She is survived by her children, Jennie (Kerry) Ellison of Charleston, West Virginia, Don (Katie) Roach of Fairbanks, Alaska, Wesley(Suzanna) Roach of Clinton, Utah, Delma Roach of Columbus, Ohio, John(Amanda) Roach of Mingo Junction, Ohio, and David Roach of Columbus Ohio; her grandchildren, Chrissy, Scott, Morgan, Joshua, Eric, Elizabeth, Marcus, Victoria, Coral, Breanna, Jarrett, and Ainsley, and her great grandchildren Elli, Eva, Lucy, Graham, Ryleigh, Kellen, Jameson, Micah, Kaylynn, Harlei, Zaedy, Elizabeth, Tayge, Elise, Maddie, Chevy, Octavia, Nevaeh, Merrick, Levi, Olivia, William, Henry, Ava, Logan, Iris, and her sister Velva Jeppson of Logan Utah. Her funeral service will be held at Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St., Hillard, OH 43026 on June 2, 2023 at 1:00pm with Brother Russell Hessler officiating the service. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the time of service. Interment will be held following the funeral services at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 3225 Dublin Road, Hillard, OH.
