Mavis Lorene Zalipski, age 78, passed away at her home on Friday, August 6, 2010. She was a long-time resident of Mt. Sterling, Ohio. Born in Arley, Alabama on June 30, 1932.
She is preceded in death by parents Samuel Floy and Sarah Evie Davis; brothers Ralph and Travis Davis and great granddaughter Tatum Lynn Clark.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lawrence Mathew (Jim) Zalipski; sons Lawrence (Jimmy) M. & wife Sandy Zalipski; Michael R. & wife Janeena Zalipski; daughters Sonia L. Zalipski and Nancy (Cathy) C. & husband Chris Panuto; grandchildren Sarah E. and Samantha L. Brown, Joshua M. and Ethan J. Zalipski, Courtney L. and Larry L. Reay and Shawn (Goldie) McKenzie; great grandchildren Jayden A. Myers, Kyle D. and Kody M. McKenzie; brothers Gene, Carol, Rayford and Thayran Davis and sister Mildred Vaughn.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Mark Harber officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 9th from 5 – 8 p.m.
Family suggest memorial contributions may be given to Mount Carmel Hospice c/o Mount Carmel Foundation 793 West State Street, Columbus, Ohio 43222-9988.
