Matthew Hopkins

Matthew David Hopkins, age 43, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away after a long illness on Saturday, May 21, 2016. Born in Columbus to Nancy and the late Jack Hopkins, Matt was a graduate of St. Charles Preparatory High School, Class of 1991 and was a proud Eagle Scout. He was also a graduate of The Ohio State University receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-Chemistry. Matt was a chemist with PPG of Delaware for many years. Preceded in death by his father Jack who died in 2014, he is survived by his mother, Nancy Hopkins of Columbus; sisters, Diana (David) McMahon of Hilliard and Kim (Doug) Lapp of Mt. Pleasant, MI; brother, Greg Hopkins of Columbus; beloved nieces and nephews, Kristen, Lauren, Heath, Kimberly (Nate), Noah, Ellen and Sarah; great-nephew Liam; Angela Brown-Hopkins of Delaware and Angie's and Matt's nephews, Skyler, Aiden and Gavin Sardar; close, loving friend, Lisa Kibby of Delaware and children, Benjamin and Cassidy; and aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
