Marna Dale (Habig) Rahr, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2022, surrounded by family, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on March 25, 1937 in Wheeling West Virginia, the daughter of William and Myra (Harrison) Habig. She graduated from Wheeling High School where she met her high school sweetheart, Thomas Edward (Tom) Rahr, who later became her life-long loving husband of 64 years.

Marna was employed by the Hazel Atlas Glass Company in Wheeling where she worked as a secretary and stenographer until she was married. She moved to Ohio and resided there the balance of her life, most of it in the Hilliard area. She sold Avon for a time and she was a very active member of Twig and Twig Bazaar for many years. A favorite activity was belonging to a card club with a group of longtime friends. She had many friends, maybe everyone she ever met and including Facebook, countless. Marna was a very talented artist and she enjoyed painting, crafting and creating beautiful and useful items. She loved her church and everything related to the Christian faith so was a woman of God and held a strong and boundless belief. Marna loved her family and always stayed in close contact with her children, grand children, and great grand children. She was a longtime faithful member of Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hilliard Ohio for over 50 years.  

In addition to her parents Marna was preceded in death by her brother, William Marvin Habig and his wife, Elaine; and her two sons, Bradley Edward Rahr and Brian William Rahr.

Surviving are her loving husband, Thomas Edward Rahr, JR; her daughter, Marna Susan (Rahr) Tabbert and her husband, William, of Marion OH and their two children, Jordan and his wife, Melissa, of Columbus OH and Delaney, of Marion Ohio; her daughter in-law, Glenna (Lewis) Rahr-Huling and her husband, Jay Huling of Westerville, OH; a granddaughter Melissa Kathleen (Rahr) Vega of Austin, TX; a grandson, James David Rahr and his wife, Ai of New York City, NY; a granddaughter, Anna Elizabeth Rahr and her wife Adriana of New York City, NY; a grandson, Bradley Edward Rahr, Jr and his wife, Ashley, of Orlando, FL; five great grandchildren, Colton, Colette, and Chloe Vega, of Austin, TX and Kei Ann and Haru Rahr of New York City, NY; Glenna's brother in-law Ian Innes, of Dublin, OH and his four children, Colin and Mandy, of Deland FL; Adam and his wife Sara, and their son Carter and daughter Kylie of Omaha, NE; Rachel of Dublin OH; and Matthew and his wife Janelle, of Delaware OH.

A funeral service will be conducted at Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich ST, Hilliard, OH on Friday, December 2, 2022 with visitation at 1:00 PM, followed immediately by the service at 2:00 PM. Burial begins at 3:00 PM at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 3225 Dublin RD, Hilliard OH, 43026.
