Mark Anthony Vernon

Mark A. Vernon went home to be with the lord on Friday, January 9, 2026. He was born to the late Robert A.G. Vernon and Catherine L. Vernon on May 11, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert C. Vernon and many aunts and uncles. 

Mark is survived by his wife, Emma J. Vernon, son, Jeremy M. Vernon, daughter, Sarah R. Vernon, granddaughters, Lilly, Maddy and Katy Vernon.

Mark graduated from West High School in 1973 and grew up on the west side of Columbus. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mark worked for Chase Bank, along with several other places.

He was a computer engineer, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and had many trips all over the U.S. on his cycle. 

Marks family will hold a visitation and funeral service at the Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026. The visitation will be on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, and will start at 4:00PM and end at 6:00PM. His funeral service will be the following day, Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 10:00AM. We will then go in procession to Sunset Cemetery.
