Marguerite "Margo" V. Hoffman, age 74, of Columbus, Ohio, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Born in Minneapolis, MN to the late Lawrence and Suzanne Borreson, Margo was a graduate of Hilliard High School, Class of 1969. Margo worked for Southwestern City School as a Head Start Aide for several years. Later, she worked for Walmart Stores, Inc. and retired in 2006. She then worked as the Office Manager at Galloway Eyewear Professionals until just before her death. She was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she participated in many ministries including the Church Choir. Before her attending St. Paul Lutheran Church, Margo was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Amlin, OH where she was a member of the Fidelis League and helped with Sunday School and VBS. Margo and her late husband Dan were married January 9, 1971 at St. John’s Lutheran Church. While her daughters were attending school, Margo was active in the PTA and the Band and Drama Boosters at Westland High School.

In addition to her parents, Margo was preceded in death by her beloved husband Daniel A. Hoffman, who passed in 2019, and by Dan’s parents Shirley and Gerald Hoffman.

Margo is survived by her daughters Jennifer (Ryan) Mattson and Kristy Blum, her grandchildren Michael (fiancé, Roni) Mattson, Cassie Mattson, Alex Blum and Nick Blum, her siblings: Evelyne (Kurt) Meyer, Larry (Lauren) Borreson, Diane (Chuck) Miller, Rich (Diane) Borreson, Mike Bolin, Barb Toledo, Doug (Pam) Bolin, Don Bolin, Dan Bolin, and their families; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law: Margi (Keith) Pettibone, Greg (Brenda) Hoffman, John (Sarah) Hoffman, and their families; and many friends.

Margo was an attentive mother and grandmother who attended countless band, choir, and drama performances while taking pride in setting an example for her children and grandchildren. She was always there for us. Margo was an avid Buckeye Fan, a lover of all things Disney, and a faithful Christian.
