Margery Adelaide Agin, of Hilliard Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 29th at the age of 94. Margery was born in Dunkirk, Ohio to Mildred and Archie McNutt. She was the only girl among eight children which not only shaped her as a caregiver but gave her much fuel for family stories that we will cherish always.
Margery married her childhood sweetheart, Frank ‘Claire’ Agin, on August 30, 1953, and she was adored for 47 years of marriage before his too-soon passing. Together they raised three children, teaching them the value of family, love and integrity.
As a graduate of the White Cross School of Nursing, she valued her work as an RN, learning many life lessons that she would later pass on to her kids and grandchildren. She was an active member of the community, as a member of Hilliard United Methodist Church, Ohio Society of Professional Engineers Ladies Auxiliary and Riverside White Cross Alumni Association.
Margery is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her daughter-in-law Glenna Agin, and six of her brothers (William, Gerald, Nelson, Tom, Richard and Kenneth McNutt.)
Margery is survived by her loving children David Agin of Kingston, Linda (Paul) Peters of Plain City, Eric Agin of Virginia and brother Ronald (Kay) McNutt of Arizona. Margery is also survived by many dear sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
The greatest joy of Margery’s life was being with and bragging about her beloved and devoted grandchildren: Frank (Samantha) Agin, Paul Jeffrey ‘PJ’ Peters, Scott (Kayla) Peters, Jon Peters (Sydney Leckie), Kristin (Bob) Fries and Laura Peters (Aaron Stevens).
Her long life afforded her the blessing of great grandchildren whom she loved so much, Julia Fries (Dylan Dingus), Paisley Grace Agin and a dear great-great grandchild, Matthew Dingus.
Margery was so grateful for every phone call, visit or meal shared with her many caring and loving friends from Hilliard, and all over, including at Heritage Villas on the Links, and Carriage Court.
Her family would like to thank some very special care partners who did more than simply provide care. They made her laugh, listened to her and treated her with the dignity she deserved. We would also like to thank Capital City Hospice who managed her comfort with the utmost professionalism and care when it was needed most. We will be forever grateful to all of you.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8th for a visitation from 12:00-1:00pm with a service beginning at 1:00pm at TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Following the service we will process to Wesley Chapel Cemetery.Friday, March 8, 2024
