Marcia L. Haney, born July 12, 1945, passed away August 29, 2026. Marcia was the daughter of Ralph Woodrum and Frances Woodrum. She graduated from Athens High School in 1963 and from Columbus Business University. She was preceded in death by both parents and by her first husband Paul Koffel. She is survived by John L. Haney, Jr., her loving husband of 47 years and by her son Bradley P. (Michelle) Koffel, four grandchildren, Sara Koffel (and her mother Teri), Cameron Koffel, Kate Koffel and Emma Koffel. She is also survived by her siblings, Janet Neutzling, Myron Woodrum and Loretta Woodrum, by her mother-in-law Pauline Haney, daughter-in-law Cathie Hanna, daughter-in-law Robin Stahlman and brother-in-law Mark Haney. Marcia was retired from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office; where she served for 29 years as an administrative assistant to several chiefs in the Consumer Protection Division. She loved animals, enjoyed cooking and watching cooking television shows. Marcia loved traveling to Charlevoix, Michigan in the fall each year and visiting family in Phoenix, AZ. Known for her thoughtfulness and kindness to family members, friends and neighbors, she loved her Christian faith and was particularly fond of old hymns like those sung at Riverside Church, her most recent church home. The family expresses its deepest gratitude to the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at the Bing Cancer Center, the Riverside Heart Hospital and the DaVita Dialysis Center in the Silver Horn Centre, Hilliard Rome Rd. For 20 months Marica fought a courageous battle against amyloidosis. While family and friends weep at her passing, we will all treasurer the 81 productive and happy years Marcia enjoyed on this planet. We will never forget her and will always smile when we remember her quick wit and joyful presence in our lives. You are one fine woman, Marica. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Marcia’s name be made to the Amyloidosis Foundation, 7151 N. Main St., Suite 2, Clarkston, MI 48346 or to the Riverside Church, 2701 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, OH 43221. Family will receive friends from 2pm to 6pm on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, September 4, 2026. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Hilliard, OH.
