Lynne F. Norman

Lynne F (Brukner) Norman, age 86, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 23, 2024. Lynne was born in Battle Creek, Michigan September 2,1937. She was the eldest of two daughters of Madelyn and Francis Brukner. She graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1955. She studied to be a Med Tech at Michigan State University. While at MSU Lynne met her late husband, Larry. They married in 1958, and raised three wonderful children.
 Lynne was also an active member of Worthington Presbyterian Church throughout her adult life, leading a youth group, teaching Sunday school, participating small group ministry, and playing in the church's adult bell choir for many years.
 
 Lynne was a member of a TWIG for over 30 years. She made countless ornaments, advent calendars, sweaters, puppet themed mittens, baby blankets, quilts, and children's toy accessories for her TWIG group. Lynne was a volunteer at the Memorial Tournament with the TWIG.  She worked behind the scenes making sandwiches to be sold to the patrons. She served in many offices within the TWIG organization throughout the years.


 Upon her retirement, Lynne loved spending time with her 6 grandchildren and pursued her passion for crafting. She used her skills to give back to the community through her church, TWIG, and volunteering. Lynne spent several years volunteering for Lifecare Alliance Meals on Wheels, and loved chatting and spending time with her clients. She earned a distinguished service award for her work with Lifecare Alliance.
 
 Lynne is survived by her three children Michael (Debbie) Norman, Julie (Frank) Vuotto, and Nancy Thomas, sister-in-law Lois Norman, brother-in-law Don Bishop, as well as her six grandchildren Mindy (Michael) Alvaro, Josh Norman, Courtney (Mark) Bordo, Paige (Joan) Hernandez, Jacob Thomas, and Emily (Camden) Allen, and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry, sister Pamela Bishop, and son-in-law Charles Thomas.
 
 Lynne's friends and family will remember her love for those close to her, her bright and sassy personality, generous spirit, and her commitment to giving back to her community.



Services will follow at a later time.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children’s Hospital or Lifecare Alliance.
