Lynn A Skeels

Lynn Skeels, age 84, passed away on January 24, 2024 surrounded by family. Lynn grew up in a farm family on Amity Road in Hilliard with her brother and sister. She had fond memories of spending time with her Dad in the fields, taking care of livestock and trips to the grainery. She was a longtime member of Hilliard Presbyterian Church. Lynn worked in banking and served as Finance Director for the City of Hilliard for 29 years, retiring in 2003. She and her husband shared years of travel and enjoyed collecting antiques. She was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. Lynn (GaGa, Grandma) loved spending time with family and enjoyed all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was fiercely protective of her loved ones and passed down her hard work ethic to them all.

Preceded in death by parents, Ray and Madeleine (Thompson) Williams; husband, Charles Skeels; sister, Eleanor Roby and brother-in-law, Frank Roby; brother, Charles Williams and nephew, Jeffrey Williams. Survived by daughters, Kathy Anthony and Karmel (Mark) Randall; son, Kraig (Brenda) Pritchett, and daughter, Kim (Dave) Bramel. Grandchildren, Adam (Alyssa) Anthony, Katie (Yosef) Schiff, Kelsie (Benjamin) Newell, Spencer Pritchett, Drew (Leah) Bramel and Seth (Ashley Paulus) Bramel. Great-Grandchildren, Michael Anthony-Wood, Gavin, Cole, Reis, Calhen Anthony and Kourtney Lacher; Ayla and Lucie Schiff; Josephine, Mary and Dorothy Newell. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Hilliard Presbyterian Church, 3600 Leap Road. Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. with the service beginning at 11:00. Lunch will follow in the social hall.
