Louis I. Nickles

Louis I. Nickles, born May 23, 1934 in Clarion, Iowa, passed away December 11, 2024 at 90 years old due to complications from Alzheimer’s. He is preceded in death by his parents Jenny and Ilo, 5 brothers and sisters and first wife Margie Kay. He is survived by his sons, Jeff (Dawn) and Joel (Rhonda), his daughter Karen, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a Veteran of the Air Force and retired from John Deere in 1986. He lived most of his life in Des Moines, Iowa and Bella Vista Arkansas, but in 2024 moved to Carriage Court Senior Living Home in Hilliard, Ohio where he passed. He enjoyed golf, dancing, running marathons and old westerns on TV. By his request, no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his name.
