Linda "Lin" Richards

Linda L. “Lin” Richards, age 76, a life-long member of the Hilliard community, passed on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Betty (Greer) Travis, Lin was a graduate of Hilliard High School, Class of 1968. A former administrator with Mt. Carmel Health Systems, Lin later was a home health care nurse for many years. Lin loved her community and was active in many things. She loved gardening, volunteering with the Parade of Homes, and walking her dogs in the neighborhood. She was an active parent with Boy Scout Troop #148 while her son attained his Eagle Scout badge. Lin was most supportive of her husband Bill’s military career and was a Family Support Leader with the 137th Aviation Battalion. She was a member of CPT Nicholas J. Rozanski Memorial Post #4931, Women’s Auxiliary. Lin and her husband were members of St. James Lutheran Church.

In addition to her parents, Lin was preceded in death by her son Trent Lawrence Cole. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Bill Richards, to whom she was married nearly 49 years. Also surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law: Michael Travis and Lisa Cole, and William Tyler and Jennifer Ann Richards; her grandchildren: Isaac Richards, Sadie Richards, Jack Richards, Allison Cox, Triston Heatherly, Karissa Cole, and Olivia Cole; her great-granddaughter Lilah Lyn; sister Sheri (Scott) Sutherland; wonderful family friends: Marty Sutton, Michele Brenneman, and Alicia Laughbaum; her many friends at the VFW and Hilliard community; and her faithful canine companion, Pilot.

Family will receive friends from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26, 2026 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722 where her Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 1:00p.m. WEDNESDAY. Lin will be laid to rest at Wesley Chapel Cemetery beside her son Trent.
