Linda Ann Hood

August eighth,1953 she was the oldest of 5 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley
(Reed) Alston, William Howard Alston and her brother, William Howard Alston Jr. She is survived by her
husband, Terrence M Hood, her son, Terrence M Hood Jr., his SO Jessica Webb, her brothers, John and
Thomas Alston and a sister, Mary Beth Alston-Messer.
Linda was born in Pittsburgh, PA where she attended school until the tenth grade. At that time she moved
to Chagrin Falls, Ohio with her family, but remained a staunch supporter of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh
Steelers for the entirety of her life. After moving to Columbus with her new husband, Linda worked at JC
Penney's from which she retired to enjoy her personal interests.
Linda's interests were reading, going to and supporting the local libraries, cross stitching and pursuing
advanced education. She attended Columbus State where she took classes that interested her in nutrition
and healthcare. Linda loved traveling and made many trips to Florida where she enjoyed beach combing
for shells and learning about the history of the older cites. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
Linda never met a stranger she did not like. She was very social and could talk to anyone about anything
and put everyone at ease. She will be greatly missed by family, friends and those who benefited from her
joyous personality.
