Leslie Jones

Leslie Lee Jones, born in Circleville, Kansas 12/30/1928, died in Columbus, Ohio on 10/30/2021.

He was a retired 20+ year veteran Air Force Master Sergeant predominantly stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio.  He was awarded the Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Vietnam Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster and the National Defense Service Medal.  He graduated Cum Laude from Wright State University to start a second career in pump engineering.

Those fortunate to know him knew a gentle man who treated others kindly, a devoted husband, father, sibling, uncle and one with a joke or tale at the ready to leave you smiling.  He truly delighted in delighting others.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a step-mother, three elder siblings and a wife of 40 years.

He is survived by three sons.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm Sunday, December 5, 2021 at TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026.
