Lena M. Hoover, of Ft. Myers, FL. (Formerly of Hilliard, OH), died March 4, 2020 in Port Charlotte, FL. Born September 14, 1923, in Owensdale, PA, a daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth Pletcher. Preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert F. Hoover and infant daughter, Peggy Ann Hoover. She is survived by daughters Marsha (Dave) Kesler, Bloomingdale, GA, Joan Hoover, Ft. Myers, FL, sons, Scott (Marty) Hoover of North Port, FL, Daniel (Elaine) Hoover of Deland, FL, sister Esther Ridenour of Scottdale, PA, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Otterbein College and was subsequently employed as a teacher by Hilliard City Schools.       

Robert Frank Hoover passed away at the age of 89 on December 6, 2013. He was born in Amlin, OH on May 9, 1924. In addition to his wife Lena Mae Hoover and infant daughter Peggy Ann, Bob was preceded in by his parents Frank and Marie Hoover, brother James Hoover. Bob graduated from Hilliard High School in 1942 and served in the United States Navy during WWII as a quartermaster on the destroyer USS Chevalier. In his later years he owned and operated a service station in Hilliard and worked for a car dealership in Columbus, OH.

Graveside Services for Lena Mae and Bob will be held 2:00p.m. TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2020 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Hilliard, Ohio. For the benefit of all, the service will live-streamed on this website and can be viewed by activating the view button above this obituary.
