Kristine Stelzer

Kristine Stelzer, age 71, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Kristine was born in St. Marys, Ohio on February 13, 1953.

Kris was incredibly dedicated, as she spent 45 years as a nurse where she adored being able to help others and care for her patients. This gave her the opportunity to have a significant amount of experience working with dialysis and homecare through Ohio Health. While she was a busy lady, Kris never failed to make time for her family and the things she enjoyed. Outside of being surrounded by those she loved, Kris loved a beautiful day in the garden or looking forward to her next travel plans. She will be greatly missed by many.

Kristine is preceded in death by her parents, William and Naomi (Schroeder) Rison, and her sister, Kathleen Burke of St. Marys, Ohio.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, David Stelzer, her children, Liz Skerl (Dave) and Matt Stelzer (Nicole), sister, Carol Rison (Kim Wannemacher) of Celina, Ohio, brother-in-law, Steve Burke of St. Marys, Ohio, and her grandchildren, Jack, Brooklyn and Luke Stelzer, Dominic and Caroline Skerl. 

The family will be hosting a celebration of life for Kristine on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Blvd.
