Kenneth Wayne Murray

Kenneth Wayne Murray "Speedy", age 75, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. He was born on June 16, 1950, to the late John and Loretta Murray.

Kenneth was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served in the Vietnam war. He was a Purple Heart recipient. He worked as a truck driver for Yellow Freight for 33 years before retirement and was a lifelong member of the Hilliard V.F.W., #4931.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Loretta Murray, his brothers, Bill and Mike Murray, sisters, Beverly Gomez, Diane Carter and Pat Weber, sons, Wayne E. Murray and Brandon M. Murray, as well as his nephew, Willie Allison.

Kenneth is survived by his son, Kenneth J. (Melissa) Murray, lifelong partner, Tammy Lantz, sister, Sue (John) Gebhardt, grandchildren, Melanie, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Braydon and Preston Murray, as well as numerous loving relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends from 4pm-6pm on Monday, April 13, 2026 at Hilliard V.F.W Captain Nicholas Rozanski Memorial Post #4931, 2436 Walcutt Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026; where service will follow at 6pm.
