Kay Akers, age 77, of Hilliard, passed away June 21, 2021. US Navy Veteran. Member of American Legion and longtime Union Rep in Hilliard City School District. Preceded in death by mother Nora L. Cox, father Homer G. Baker, sister Glema Joe Somero, son James K. Young and husband Larry R. Akers. Survived by son Richard Young, sister Joyce Somero, brother Dennis Baker, grandchildren Christine Smith-Young, Andrew Young and Rachel Young. Inurnment to take place in Tennessee.
