It is with heavy hearts and immense sorrow that we announce the passing of Kari Marie Grubaugh, aged 37 on August 23rd, 2025. Kari was born on June 30th, 1988, in Columbus, Ohio. Kari was a devoted mother, cherished daughter, and beloved friend, who left this world far too soon.
Kari was a devoted mother whose greatest joy in life was her children. She found happiness in the simple moments with family and spontaneous outings with friends.
Despite life's challenges, Kari faced each day with courage and determination. She worked tirelessly to build a better life for her family, never allowing hardship to dim her light. Her resilience was matched only by her compassion. Kari had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and loved.
She will be remembered for her infectious smile, her fierce loyalty, and the way she made everyone feel like family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, her family, and all who were lucky enough to know her.
She is survived by her beloved Children, Sharese and Shaun Carey, parents, William (Carol) Grubaugh and Christa Grubaugh (Bud), Siblings, Chris Grubaugh (Christin), Alicia Correa, and Kaci Grubaugh, Uncles, Charles (Lori) Albright, Robbie (Jenny) Albright, and Michael (Rita) Grubaugh, Aunts, Joleine (Randy) Adams and Catherine Grimsley (Ed), Grandmother, Mary L. Albright, Niece, Heavenly Miller, Nephew, Dominic Easley Jr., Mason Wellman, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, William & Alice Grubaugh and Robert C. Albright, Unlcles, Robert Patrick Grubaugh and Mark S. Grubaugh, her Aunt, Debbie Ellis, Great Grand Parents, Robert and Edna Albright, niece, Isabelle Grubaugh, and her childhood friend, Johnathon Snyder.
Kari was known for her unwavering spirit and her love of family & friends.
Kari was deeply loved, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her and her unwavering spirit.
A celebration on Kari's life will be held Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026. Viewing hours are from 11:00AM to 1:00PM with a brief service to follow.
