Remembering Judy Bozick
As a wife, mom, mimi, sister, and friend, Judy gave generously of herself. Anyone who ever sat at her table knows that there was always an extra seat, plenty of food, laughter, and a story or two to be told.
Judy never knew a stranger. A simple errand could turn into an exchange of phone numbers and a new friendship. She cared deeply, loved generously, and found genuine joy in making others smile. Wherever she went, she brought the fun and often a thoughtful gift.
Giving was Mimi’s love language. Mom thought in threes: one for herself and one for each of her daughters. When she found something wonderful, Kelly and Adrianne were sure to have one too.
Judy was an artist at heart. She loved oil painting, teaching, and learning. She was especially fascinated by science, but her faith was her compass. When science couldn't provide an answer, her faith in Jesus did.
Judy grew up in Upper Arlington, Ohio, graduating from Upper Arlington High School in 1964. She earned her nursing degree from The Ohio State University and worked as an intensive care nurse at St. Anthony's Hospital (now Ohio State East Hospital) before becoming a stay-at-home mom to her two daughters. She was an enthusiastic volunteer in their schools and always happy to lend a hand or share her creativity.
Dad recalls the first time he saw Mom, he thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Mom was the dreamer, always full of ideas, and Dad was the one who figured out how to bring them to life. Together, they raised a family and honored their vows to love one another in sickness and in health, for better or for worse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Esta Hubbard, and her sister, Susan Elliot.
Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Frank Bozick; her daughters, Kelly (Jeremy) Fink and Adrianne (Rodney) Overmyer; and her five cherished grandchildren, Brayden and Lily Fink and Ramsey, Monroe, and Bodie Overmyer.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you honor her memory in ways she would have loved: make Sunday night family dinners a priority, show others they are loved, be playful, bring the fun, and keep your heart open to the idea of knowing Jesus.
Mimi wasn’t perfect. She was wonderful and she was ours. Family and friends are invited to gather for calling hours on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Tidd Funeral Home (5265 Norwich Street Hilliard, Ohio 43026). A private funeral service will be held for immediate family.
