Joseph Rayburn Jr.

Joseph Rayburn, age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025.  He was born on June 10, 1939, to the late Joseph and Pearl Rayburn.

After graduating from Steubenville High School, Joseph went on to serve 4 years in the United States Army.  From there he worked for many years at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel.  Joseph greatly enjoyed spending his free time fishing and hunting or spending time with family and friends.

Joseph is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Beverly C. Rayburn, parents, Joseph and Pearl Rayburn, sisters, JoAnna (Dale) Carter and MaeLee (Bill) Davis, his brothers, Charles (June) Rayburn and John Rayburn, and his twin brother, James Rayburn.

He is survived by his children, Tracy Rayburn, Tammy (Robert) Billham, and Joseph C. Rayburn, his sister, Joyce (William) Miles, sister-in-law, Patsy Rayburn, as well as 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Joseph will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love him.

Joseph's family would also like to thank the staff at Norwich Springs Health Campus for taking exceptional care of Joseph over the time he was there.
