Johnny Lemaster, age 69 of Hilliard, Ohio passed away on September 8, 2021. Born on August 19, 1952 to Walter and Gladys Lemaster. Johnny is preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law Betty and father-in-law Lee Roy Layton. Johnny was a graduate of Hilliard High School, class of 1972, where he met his high school sweetheart, Teresa Layton and married shortly after. Johnny had two children, Jeremy Lemaster (Jennifer) and Jamie Williams, whom he adored immensely. He is survived by his wife, Teresa of almost 47 years; his children, Jeremy Lemaster (Jennifer) and Jamie Williams; grandchildren, Alex Lemaster, Caleb Lemaster; Madison Williams, Morgan Williams, Tamsyn Lemaster and Alaric Lemaster; he is also survived by his brother, Walter (Sonny) Lemaster (Roseanne) and Francis Roddam. Johnny was the proud uncle to many and held the title “Best Hunka John” and is survived by numerous extended family and lifelong friends. Johnny had the kindest heart and worried about everyone, up until the end of his life. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix or remodel and took great pride in his work while teaching others about home improvements. Johnny loved attending car shows and teaching his kids and grandkids about cars, which stemmed from the two historical cars he owned during his lifetime. Johnny loved spending time with all of his grandchildren and was incredibly proud of each and every one of them and looked forward to their visits and hearing about their accomplishments. Johnny was a family man, who put his family first, prided himself in their accomplishments and gave great advice, He was a man of his word and believed a handshake was a promise. Johnny was deeply in love with Teresa, and they created a beautiful life together; he shared many stories over the years of their love for one another and taught us what unconditional love was all about. Johnny will be reunited in heaven by his lifelong best friend, Jed McClintock, whom he missed dearly.The family will host a celebration of his life at Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, Ohio on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm; where funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, September 13, 2021 and will be officiated by John Layton. Interment Wesley Chapel cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in his honor to Mount Carmel Hospice, who provided exceptional care.
