John H. Ross

John Herman Ross, 83, went home to be with the Lord Friday October 3rd. Born in Paintsville, KY on October 15, 1941. 

He is survived by loving wife Martha of 54 years. Together, they had 6 children: Joannie Radcliff (the late Brent Radcliff), Eulinda (Dave) Claar, Norm (Tiffany) Crosby, Johnny (Judy) Ross, Jamie (Beth) Ross, Jason (Melanie) Ross. 16 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his mother and father, 6 siblings and 1 grandson. 

John was a hard-working family man who ran a successful home improvement company for 56 years where the legacy will live on through family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather as well as a friend to many. He adored his “babies” Sugar, Hugs, Honey and Baby. In his free time, he enjoyed playing cards, listening to bluegrass music, sitting outside and enjoying nature, going to Florida with Martha every winter to have their golf cart rides looking for alligators and above all spending time with his family. John loved watching OSU football with Martha, especially the noon games. 

Visiting hours are Tuesday October 7 th from 3-5pm at Tidd Funeral Home in Hilliard and the Funeral will be Wednesday October 8 th at 10am with burial immediately following at Sunset Cemetery. If you plan to join at the funeral, the family would like you to honor him by wearing your favorite OSU items during his celebration of life.
