John Ben Reeves, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 6th, 2021. John was born October 7th, 1941 in Austin, Texas. A private ceremony was held at his burial on January 15th, and a public memorial will be announced at a future date. 

After moving to Ohio and graduating from Middletown High School, John attended The Ohio State University, attaining a B.S. in Industrial Management.  While at Ohio State, John met Lois Ann Morris of Hilliard, Ohio, and they married on August 24th, 1963. They spent 54 years together, sharing life and love with friends and family.

After college, John joined the U.S Air Force, serving tours in Vietnam and Wiesbaden, Germany.  Leaving the military in 1975, he moved to Hays, Kansas to work as Quality Manager for Baxter Healthcare, transferred to Chicago in 1985, then relocated to Indianapolis as Director of Quality Assurance for Artec, Inc.

John enjoyed studying airplanes, collecting models and books reflecting his interests.  He also loved math puzzles and games of all sorts and volunteered as Math Pentathlon coach at Mary Castle Elementary School.  A former Eagle Scout, John was always prepared to help, be it a neighbor in need, a game to play with his granddaughters, or a dog in need of puppy-sitting.

John was preceded in death by his father, John Benjamin Reeves, mother Margaret K. Brown, stepfather Claude Brown, and loving wife, Lois.  He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John R. Reeves and Rebecca Boughton, granddaughters Madeline and Cassandra Reeves, sister Jean Jensen, and half-brothers Wallace, Dale, and Alfred Reeves.
