John P. Morgan

John P. Morgan, age 78, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2026.  He was born and raised in Manhattan, New York.

John graduated from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where he then went on to become a New York State Sargent in the New York State Supreme Court for 33 years, he then taught Crime and Deviance at The College of New Rochelle for 12 years, and then retired and went back to work facilities for St. Margaret of Cortona.  He was also very passionate about coaching different sports teams, as well as watching the New York Yankees, Rangers and Giants. There was nothing John loved more than spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Elizabeth (Connolly) Morgan, his beloved daughter, Danielle Marie (Morgan) Gogick, his siblings, James Morgan, Peter Morgan, Mary Dadario, Anna Garvey, Bridget Tyler, and Susan Hill.

John was survived by his son, Johnny (Rhianna) Morgan, the mother of his children, Ellie (Willie) Jennings, his sisters, Margaret Jordan and Joan Reilly, his close friends Joe Dzikas and his partner Lillian Martin, his son-in-law, Jonathan Gogick, as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

John's family will receive friends for a visitation and memorial service on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026.  The visitation will be held from 10:00AM to 11:00AM and the memorial service will begin immediately following at 11:00AM.
