Joel Angelo Damante

Joel Angelo Damante, age 61, of Hilliard, Ohio died at home on Friday, July 16, 2021.  Born in Sandusky, Ohio to Rose and the late Angelo Damante, Joel was a graduate of Sandusky High School, Class of 1977 and later graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science, Business degree.  He began his career with Nationwide Insurance as an underwriter and later moved to Chase Bank where he worked in the Customer Service Department.  Joel was preceded in death by his father Angelo Damante, his wife Kathy Damante and his brother Jeff Damante.  He is survived by his mother Rose Damante, his children Andrew Damante and Allison Damante, his nephew Jeff Damante and family, mother-in-law Rita Mourn, sister-in-law Terri Austin and brother-in-law Steven Mourn.  Joel was a loving son who took great care of his mother Rose.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00a.m. SATURDAY, AUGUST 21, 2021 at SS.
