Jeannie Layne

Yvonne Jean “Jeannie” Layne, age 59, of Columbus, Ohio went home to Our Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Born in Columbus to the late Henry and Georgie Lester, Jeannie married Greg Layne in 1986 and together raised their family in the Columbus area. Jeannie was a devoted member of Abundant Life Tabernacle. She faithfully watched church services via live-stream when her health prevented her from attending in person. In addition to her parents, Jeannie was preceded in death by her brother Phil Lester, brother-in-law Dennis Vanden Eynden and mother-in-law Edwina Layne. She is survived by her beloved husband Greg, children Johnny Hitchcock III, Mandy (David Kinder) Hitchcock, Krystal (Michael) Barnhart, Ryan Layne, Makayla Stoltz and Savannah Stoltz, her grandchildren: Cameron, Makayla, Riley, Savannah, Georgie, Haylee, NaRyan, Michael, Maliha, Gillian, Genna, Nikita and Josiah, her siblings: Van Lester, Kay Vanden Eynden, Tony (Barbara) Lester and Allen Lester, father-in-law John Layne, brother-in-law Mike (Pauline) Layne, special cousin “Aunt Diane” and Bill Trapp, and many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Family will welcome friends from 5:00-7:00p.m. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2021 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722 where her Funeral Service will be held 11:00a.m. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2021 with Bishop Roscoe Swain, officiating.
