Janet L. Domingus, age 90, of Hilliard, Ohio, died Saturday, November 1, 2025.
Born December 29, 1934, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late John W. and Grace E. (O’Hara) Reed, Janet was a graduate of Columbus West High School, Class of 1953. She enjoyed her long career as a Librarian Aide first at Hilliard Schools and later at Upper Arlington Schools before she retired. A pet lover at heart, Janet was a veterinarian technician in Hilliard for several years. Along with her husband Chuck, Janet was a Charter Member of Hilliard Presbyterian Church and was a member for 65 years. She was very active in the church and served on many committees. Janet loved living in Hilliard and enjoyed her many friendships and activities.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Charles “Chuck” Domingus, and her sister Carol Rosch. Janet is survived by her two daughters Karen (Paul) Hauser and Brenda (Olin) Stevens, her son Jeffrey (Denise) Domingus, her grandchildren: Christopher (Ashley) Wolfe, Emily (Joseph) Langdon, Casey (Nick) Cannon, Nikka Hauser, Jeff (Sarah) Domingus, Justin (Adrienne) Domingus, Kaylin (Chris) Dunworth, Rachael (Kevin) McNeal, Rebecca (John) Barnes, and Samuel Stevens, her 14 great- grandchildren, sister-in-law Betty Sanger, and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
A Witness to the Resurrection and Celebration of the Life of Janet will be held at HILLIARD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 3600 Leap Road, Hilliard, OH 43026; where family will welcome friends on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 10 am-11 am with the service to begin at 11 am, and a luncheon following. The Reverend Katie Kinnison along with Reverend Rachael McNeal from Memorial Presbyterian Church and granddaughter of Janet will officiate the service. To celebrate Janet’s Buckeye pride, we invite you to wear scarlet and gray colors or your favorite OSU fanwear.
After the service and luncheon, a private family interment will be held graveside at Wesley Chapel Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Friends who wish may contribute in her name to: Hilliard Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or to the Columbus Humane Society. Please deliver all flowers to the funeral home.
