Janet Carol Brewer

Janet Carol Brewer, age 78, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025. Janet was born on June 12, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio to her late parents Waunita and D. Leo Brewer. Janet graduated from Hilliard High School in 1965. She was employed by General Motors, Fisher Guide Division in Columbus where she retired in 1989. Janet then started her second career as a dog groomer and owned her own business, Grandma’s Pets in Garden City, South Carolina, for many years. She was an avid reader and pet lover her entire life.

Janet is survived by her son, Morgan Wellman (Missy); granddaughter Kaylee Obney (Jim); sisters Donna McComb and Cathy McCutcheon (Mac), as well as one niece and five nephews.

The family would like to say thank you to Mill Run Care Center who took great care of her during her last few months, as well as OhioHealth and the many providers there. A private family service will be held at the Vinton Memorial Gardens in Vinton, Ohio in the near future.
