James W. Norris Jr.

James W. Norris, Jr., age 75, of Johnstown, Ohio, passed away surrounded by those he loved on Monday, December 8, 2025. He was born to the late James and Gertude Norris, in Columbus, Ohio, on February 16, 1950.

James was a proud United States Army Veteran Medic, a Master Mason, certified HVAC technician, and a hardworking business owner, but above all else, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. James will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James W. Norris, Sr., and Gertude (Hunt) Norris, brother, William Norris, and his sister, Mary Bell Reisinger.

James is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Blanche (Young) Norris, his son, James W. Norris III (Jennifer), siblings, Roy L. Norris (Joyce), Beverly Richardson, and Gerald F. Norris, Sr. (Teresa), his grandchildren, Katelyn Norris, Sarah Norris, Emilee Norris and Charli Norris, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

James's family would like to give a special thank you to Christopher Norris, for helping to care for James in his time of need.

Family will be holding a visitation and funeral service on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026. The visitation will begin at 10:00AM and end at 12:00PM for the funeral service to follow immediately after at 12:00PM. Following the service, we will process to Plumwood Cemetery for burial.
