James Layne, age 84, of Columbus, passed away October 31, 2020. Preceded in death by wife Mildred Layne, brothers Donald and Bill Layne, parents Brooxie and Frank Layne. Survived by daughters Betty Layne, Patricia Perkins, and Melissa Layne, brothers John, Frank and Joe Layne, sister Mary Lou Dodson, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Family will receive friends 10 am- 12 pm Wednesday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will follow at 12 pm. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
