James Furniss

James Furniss, age 89 of Williamsport, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at his residence.  He was born June 28, 1928 in Pickaway County, Ohio.  Jim was a lifetime farmer of Pickaway County and served in the Army-Air Corps.

Preceded in death by his parents John and Marvene (Fast) Furniss; wife Betsey Furniss, sons Baby boy and John Furniss, granddaughter, Jonnie Sue Anderson.

Jim is survived by his loving family; daughter, Rhonda Phillips (Chet); daughter-in-law, Susan Furniss; grandchildren, Kirk and Stephanie Furniss, Julie (Tim) Wickline, James (Kristen) Phillips; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Chase Anderson, Alissa, Alexis, Bryce and Blake Wickline, Hannah and Cooper Phillips; nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling.  Rev. Jim Ferrell officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery with military honors. Family will receive friends on Sunday, Nov. 12th from 2 - 4 p.m.
